General Manager Services
As General Manager Services you play a key role in ensuring a seamless operation of multiple departments, including housekeeping, (pool) maintenance, gardening and account management.
You assure efficiency, and profitability while maintaining the highest levels of quality, guest and customer satisfaction. Beyond operational management, you will act as a strategic leader, developing and implementing business strategies to improve overall service delivery. You are proactive, hands-on and you are able to balance high-level decision-making with practical problem-solving.

Ultimately responsible across all service departments ensuring seamless operation.
Developing and implementing business strategies to improve overall service delivery.
Developing and managing budgets, cost control measures, and financial strategies to ensuring profitability while achieving turnover goals.
Leading, coaching, guiding and supervising department heads, fostering a productive and motivated team.
Preparing and overseeing quotations, reports, and planning documents in line with company policies and objectives.
Overseeing and optimizing operational workflows, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
Actively contribute to the Management Team.
You completed a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in management or an equivalent study.
You have significant and proven work experience, of at least 4 years, in a similar position.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing diverse teams.
Strong financial understanding, including budgeting and cost control experience.
Good command of English & Dutch. Spanish and Papiamentu are a plus.

Understandably, many think that the name Blue Bay was chosen because of the striking blue water in the bay. The truth is that this beautiful part of Curaçao was already named ‘Blaauwbaai’ (Blue Bay in Dutch), after Anno Blaauw, the owner at the time. He grew limes, oranges and – to make the name even more appropriate – the blue pigment indigo.
Over the years, the plantation has had its share of different owners. In 1800, it was occupied and plundered by French pirates. In the 20th century, it became the property of the Jacobs family, who used it as a farm. During the Second World War, American soldiers manned cannons at Blue Bay to shoot at German submarines.
The master plan of Blue Bay Resort dates back to 1990, when a local development group purchased the plantation from the Jacobs family and built the first infrastructure. In 1997, developer Steve Raspoort saw the area’s enormous potential. Step by step, he established a thriving resort and golf course. Steve Raspoort passed away in 2007, but his family continued realizing his dream to create a welcoming place where life is enjoyed to the fullest. Blue Bay has since grown to become a household name on Curaçao and in the Caribbean.
