As our Guest Relations Manager, you will be the heartbeat of the guest experience at Blue Bay. You are the person guests naturally turn to, you are the one who listens, acts and makes evert interaction feel personal and effortless.
Behind the scenes, you keep the back-office department running smoothly and you play a vital commercial role. You will be fostering relationships with Travel Agents and Online Tour Operators, always searching for opportunities to boost revenue. You know how to represent the resort with confidence and charm, whether you are hosting potential guests, Travel Agents or groups.
The position
Serving as the primary contact for guest relations ensuring a seamless experience.
Handling guest feedback, requests and challenges with professionalism and solution focused mindset.
Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
Coordinating and hosting site visits for guests, partners and travel agents.
Identifying commercial opportunities enhancing guest satisfaction and revenue growth.
Overseeing daily back-office tasks, ensuring smooth operations including managing the team.
Preparing guest relations reports and sales updates for management and stakeholders.
Your profile
A completed bachelors’ degree in tourism, hospitality, or a related field.
Proven experience in guest relations and back-office positions.
Natural communicator with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Commercially minded with experience in maintaining external partnerships.
Pro-active, solution-driven and always looking for ways to elevate the guest experience.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including holidays and weekends.
Excellent command of English & Dutch (written and verbal). Additional languages are a plus.

A little history about us
Understandably, many think that the name Blue Bay was chosen because of the striking blue water in the bay. The truth is that this beautiful part of Curaçao was already named ‘Blaauwbaai’ (Blue Bay in Dutch), after Anno Blaauw, the owner at the time. He grew limes, oranges and – to make the name even more appropriate – the blue pigment indigo.
Over the years, the plantation has had its share of different owners. In 1800, it was occupied and plundered by French pirates. In the 20th century, it became the property of the Jacobs family, who used it as a farm. During the Second World War, American soldiers manned cannons at Blue Bay to shoot at German submarines.
The master plan of Blue Bay Resort dates back to 1990, when a local development group purchased the plantation from the Jacobs family and built the first infrastructure. In 1997, developer Steve Raspoort saw the area’s enormous potential. Step by step, he established a thriving resort and golf course. Steve Raspoort passed away in 2007, but his family continued realizing his dream to create a welcoming place where life is enjoyed to the fullest. Blue Bay has since grown to become a household name on Curaçao and in the Caribbean.
