As a Junior Recruiter, you will be an important part of our HR Team and play an active role throughout the recruitment journey. From reviewing resume’s and identifying promising candidates to coordinating interviews and keeping candidates informed throughout the process, you help ensure a smooth and professional recruitment experience.

While administration and coordination are an important part of the role, you will also have the opportunity to conduct candidate screenings and interviews, work closely with hiring managers, and take ownership of recruitment activities when needed.

The position

As Junior recruiter, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting and coordinating recruitment processes from vacancy to hire.

• Screening and reviewing resumes and motivation letters to identify suitable candidates.

• Managing recruitment administration and recruitment related records.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date candidate information in databases.

• Maintaining professional and timely communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.

• Taking over recruitment responsibilities during the absence of the HR Recruitment & Training Officer when needed.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is organized, people-oriented and genuinely interested in recruitment. You enjoy working with people as much as you enjoy keeping processes and administration in order.  

• A completed degree in Human Resources or equivalent.

• Entry-level experience in recruitment, HR, or administrative roles.

• A strong interest in recruitment and administration processes.

• A professional, service-oriented and proactive attitude.

• Available to work 32 hours per week, spread over 5 working days.

• Fluency in English and Dutch. Spanish and Papiamentu are considered a plus.

A little history about us

Understandably, many think that the name Blue Bay was chosen because of the striking blue water in the bay. The truth is that this beautiful part of Curaçao was already named ‘Blaauwbaai’ (Blue Bay in Dutch), after Anno Blaauw, the owner at the time. He grew limes, oranges and – to make the name even more appropriate – the blue pigment indigo.

Over the years, the plantation has had its share of different owners. In 1800, it was occupied and plundered by French pirates. In the 20th century, it became the property of the Jacobs family, who used it as a farm. During the Second World War, American soldiers manned cannons at Blue Bay to shoot at German submarines.

The master plan of Blue Bay Resort dates back to 1990, when a local development group purchased the plantation from the Jacobs family and built the first infrastructure. In 1997, developer Steve Raspoort saw the area’s enormous potential. Step by step, he established a thriving resort and golf course. Steve Raspoort passed away in 2007, but his family continued realizing his dream to create a welcoming place where life is enjoyed to the fullest. Blue Bay has since grown to become a household name on Curaçao and in the Caribbean.
